$350 million in combined premium volume. In 1983, the Satellite Agency
Network Group (SAN Group) was formed for the purpose of establishing
a large regional alliance of local agencies. The
concept was to allow the local agents to increase independence
and be able to concentrate on producing profitable business,
while at the same time being able to take advantage of the
opportunities afforded only to large regional agencies producing
significant volumes of business.
