| Nick Pappajohn · President, SAN Group & SIAA
Nick joined the Masiello Insurance Agency in 1984 as Vice President and was responsible for the agency's operations and the development of the first Master Agency, SAN Group. Nick was also instrumental in the planning and development of SIAA's first distribution network. Nick became President of the SAN Group in 1987 and SIAA in 1995.
Nick is responsible for managing SIAA's team of Regional Presidents and plays a critical role in sales, service and training for prospective and existing Master Agencies.
A graduate from the University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business and Economics, Nick has held positions as a Loss Control Engineer for Merchants Insurance Group and Senior Marketing Representative for USF&G. He also serves on various insurance company advisory boards.
Matt Masiello · Chief Operating Officer, SAN Group
Matt is responsible for the overall operation of the SAN Group, SIAA's first Master Agency. This includes marketing and operations service and development; agency and company relations; quality control; dissemination of information; meeting planning; and education. Continuing the rapid expansion, SAN Group has a current agencyship of over 180 agencies writing in excess of $240 million of premium. Matt is leading the SIAA's original Master Agency into the new millennium. Matt also assists in the continued development of SIAA, working with Agencies in the implementation and growth of their Master Agencies, based on the systems and experience developed in SAN Group.
Matt attended the University of Maine and is a licensed New Hampshire agent holding the Accredited Advisor of Insurance designation. With the SAN Group since 1993, Matt has worked in all aspects of the development and management of this successful organization. He currently sits on several insurance company advisory councils.
In 2003, Matt was named Agent of the Year for Travelers Personal Lines.

Connie Bedaw, CIC, Vice President of Agency Development
Ms. Bedaw will work in the field with the SAN Team to assist high growth potential Member Agencies in agency development as well as providing mentoring service and support to transition new Agents into membership. Connie will play a key role in disseminating Strategic Partner product information and will maintain overall responsibility for SAN’s AccessPlus division. Connie has been with SAN Group since its inception and prior to that began her career in 1978 with the Masiello Insurance Agency in Keene, NH. Since 1997, Connie has been Vice President of AccessPlus. Connie is a licensed New Hampshire agent and holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.

Mary Ann Guay, CIC, Vice President of Agency Operations
Mary Ann is responsible for the overall management of internal operations, including Agency Services, SAN’s Quality Control Program and tracking all Company and Member results in 7 states with 30 companies. Additionally, Mary Ann has responsibilities including the liaison with carriers and agents, new Member orientation and ongoing training programs. With SAN Group since 1998, Ms. Guay has 15 years of experience, is licensed in property, casualty, life and health, holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, is the former Chairperson of the New Hampshire Big I Technical Review Committee, completed the Dale Carnegie Seminar Series and is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. |
Paul Labonte · Chief Financial Officer
Paul A. Labonte, CPA, was appointed SIAA's Chief Financial Officer in December 2001. Paul is responsible for strategic financial planning, financial reports, budgets and cash flow projections, development and implementation of investment strategies, and human resources. Paul also oversees all corporate financial and accounting matters, and all legal matters.
A Certified Public Accountant, Paul holds a Bachelor's
degree in Accounting and Management of Information Systems
from Southern New Hampshire University. Prior to joining
SIAA, he held three key financial positions in a start-up
firm as well as a national retail/catalog company. His
responsibilities included financial and administrative
functions, human resources, purchasing, facilities management,
contracts, budgeting, and preparation of tax returns.
Paul is also a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants.
Larry
Hughes - VP of Compliance
When Larry joined
SIAA in 1998, he brought with him a varied professional
background with more than 25 years of business
experience in Retail, Accounting, Management,
Operations and Program Development.
A graduate of Cornell University, with a degree
in Business Administration with a concentration
in Marketing, Larry is SIAA's Vice President of
Contract Compliance. Larry also manages the SIAA
"NetWeb," which is a technology-based segment
of SIAA and is designed to manage integrated reporting
and tracking functions. |
